Through To Round Three

Well, Jordy through to round three courtesy of Dean Morrison. Dingo knows these waves well, and he beat Jordy last year in the same event. "About halfway through the heat, i knew i had to get a good wave and managed to net an 8.5. I was lucky it held up for me all the way."

The 8.5 proved to be the wave that won the heat for Jordy. When it was all tallied up, both Jordy and Dingo had 14.5 as their scores out of a possible 20, but Jordy had the highest single-wave score.

Jordy is feeling like their is a lot of expectations that have been lifted off his shoulders. "last yeat it was so black and white, right and wrong between Dane (Reynolds) and I," reckoned Jordy. "This year it's cool that we both the underdogs. All eyes are on everybody else, so hopefully we can sneak through the doggy-door.|"

Round two of the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast once again took place at Duranbah, around the corner from the main contest venue Snapper Rocks. Jordy found the waves at D-Bah as it is commonly know, to his liking.

"This morning D-Bah looked pretty fun I would have proberally surfed there because it is consistent. Snapper is all about the waiting game, I was lucky I got a good wave."
