O'Neill World Cup Of Surfing

Sunset Beach is the surf spot on the North Shore that Jordy has proven himself time and again. Jordy scored a second at this event in 2006 in solid conditions, and was awarded the Vans Triple Crown Rookie award for his performance.

Last year he was looking good in the final again, until he came unstuck on a good wave and twisted his knee, putting him out of the water for a few months. If he hadn't have hurt himself in the final there were many people who firmly beleved that he was going to take it.

Jordy surfs Sunset beach like a little beachbreak, going straight up and straigh down on massive faces, doing floaters and other such moves generally reserved for waves with much less consequence. A victory for Jordy at Sunset is inevitable.
